I got an 808 Tt100 bluetooth turntable for Christmas and a 19-disc collection of JS Bach’s complete organ works by Walter Kraft. I am a life-long fan of baroque organ music and my most favorites are Buxtehude and JS Bach. This was the most thoughtful gift I had ever received from my lovely wife Mrinda.

Until now, I have been listening to the discs on my PC speakers. Several years ago I had an awesome 200W stereo amplifier from radio shack I used to drive my home theater. I had to leave it behind when I sold my house.
I had so much fun building the stereo alarm clock with the kids, I began thinking about building an amplifier for my turntable. I found this yeeco 50W stereo amplifier board on amazon for $12.99 and wanted to give it a try.

I repurposed some old 2W 8-Ohm speakers from a broken CD player and hot glued them into the box that the amp came in, hooked up an old 12V battery from a UPS to power the amplifier and connected it up to the turntable for a quick test. Consider it an upcycle project. So far, so good. This amp could easily blow out these speakers, so I keep the volume way down. I am looking at buying some quality 200W speakers and building my own cabinets so my neighbors can also enjoy my Bach records. I’ll post the results.
